When we started working on our big summer eating-adventures guide, we knew we wanted to hit the farthest corners of the city and beyond. From Oyster Bay to Trenton, New Jersey, and Rockaway Beach up to Yonkers, we assembled this list of nearly three dozen different spots that truly do require a bit of travel (we have the ferry receipts and train tickets to prove it). So to help you set out, we’ve put together this map — which you can easily add to your Google Maps app via this link and by clicking or tapping FOLLOW — that will point you in the right direction, whether you’re looking for spicy calamari in Howard Beach, the most famous hot dog in Mamaroneck, or the only-in-Jersey pizza known locally as “mustard pie.”
