Iconic restaurant brand to celebrate most popular sandwich on Sept. 17 with free World Famous Monte Cristos
Dallas, TX (RestaurantNews.com) You have to be a Legendary sandwich to earn your own holiday. And that’s exactly what inspired Bennigan’s to create National Monte Cristo Day on Sept. 17, celebrating the often-imitated, never-duplicated menu item that helped make the brand a household name.
This year, only on Sunday, Sept. 17 – which, not coincidentally, is also Halfway to St. Paddy’s Day – guests will receive a FREE World Famous Monte Cristo (trademark pending) with the purchase of an entrée of equal or greater value at participating locations.
Bennigan’s signature sandwich gained its Legendary status by layering buttery brioche bread, ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, dipped in signature batter and fried to golden perfection. Then, it’s topped off with a drizzle of sweet and tangy raspberry sauce.
Bennigan’s fall menu celebration will also feature Oktoberfest-inspired items, including an Oktoberfest Burger, Beer Cheese Soup and Reuben Fritters. It’s the perfect excuse to gather with friends and release your inner Irish-ness.

Espresso Martini – Bennigan’s newest concoction features 360 Double Chocolate Vodka, Kahlua Coffee Liqueur and Monin Iced Coffee, shaken with ice until smooth, strained into a chilled martini glass and served with three espresso beans.
Sweater Weather Breeze – Feel the cool autumn breeze with a handcrafted blend of fresh muddled mint, lime juice, Paddy’s Irish Whiskey, Monin Granny Smith Apple, Finest Call Mojito Mix and Sprite®.
Autumn Sangria – Back by popular demand, this drink features Stoli Razberi Vodka, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, White Zinfandel, Finest Call Peach Puree and Red Bull Yellow Edition. Served in a mason jar with an orange and lemon wheel. Refreshingly fall!
Spiced Irish Cran-Apple – A rich garnet color with a ruby edge, the wine opens to reveal lifted fruit aromas of bright strawberry, jammy fruit, mocha and vanilla, and oak notes.
