Darwin’s Phat Mango is one of the most popular restaurants in the Top End. It boasts having been #1 on Trip Advisor’s best restaurants in Darwin, has won so many Gold Plate awards there’s hardly any room on the walls, and is a restaurant of choice for suitors trying to impress a date.
Despite its apparent popularity, Phat Mango has had to close its doors, and will not be reopening for the foreseeable future.
Martin Bouchier the Chef is the owner of Phat Mango which has been placed into liquidation. He told ABC Radio Darwin’s Jo Laverty what went wrong.
