THE sudden closure of popular Brisbane restaurant George’s Paragon at Eagle Street over the weekend caught many of its customers unaware.

Drainage problems are believed to have forced the popular seafood restaurant, which is well-known for its early bird dining specials, to shut its doors, almost without notice on Friday, leaving those with bookings in the lurch.

Management posted a message on the George’s Paragon Seafood Brisbane Facebook page at midafternoon on Friday announcing the three-day closure.
