Police are seeking out the whereabouts of a woman who witnessed a man threatening a woman with a gun while she sat in her car at McDonald’s at Bridgewater on Monday morning.
Police allege the incident occurred at 7.20am and that the woman who witnessed it attended the Bridgewater Police Station by taxi to report the matter.
Detective Senior Constable Paul Smith said police allege a 22-year-old female in a silver Suzuki sedan drove into the car park and a 24-year-old man entered the car shortly after.

He said the man, who knew the woman, threatened her with a loaded firearm while inside the vehicle.
“It appears that he might have been requesting some information [from the woman],” Detective Senior Constable Smith said.
He said the pair were not in a relationship.
Detective Senior Constable Smith said the man fled the scene shortly after the incident and was located by police at a Bridgewater home.
He said the pistol was not registered.
Detective Senior Constable Smith said police were reviewing CCTV footage of the incident.
He said some McDonald’s staff members who had witnessed the incident had been left in a distressed state.
Detective Senior Constable Smith would not comment on whether the man was known to police for other matters.
